I’m Broke Because Of Books

Indeed. Story of my life. Like seriously, you know how people buy drinks for girls in bars? Why can’t people do that at books stores? Like if I’m looking at a novel in Barnes and Noble and some person walks up to me and strikes up a conversation and offers to buy the book for me there is a lot better chance of that working out in their favor. *shrugs* I’m just throwing that out into the universe.

your flaws aren’t flaws; you’re art.

the No Commission activation was a contemporary art fair experience curated by The Dean Collection to forge a direct link between artists’ practices and art patronage. Bacardi & Swizz Beatz presented the No Commission Art Fair and the Untameable House Party Concert fair which provided exhibition space at no cost and artists retain 100 percent of sales proceeds to aid studio development. AMAZING !!!

Wynwood is home for me. for the free, creative, entrepreneurs. i was comfortably fully clothed (besides my boobs being out) in my sheer top, full length quilted floral skirt and my ever ready patent leather chelsea boots. i would further define my outfit choice as untamed but not excessive.

BLONDE MOMENT:

Art Basel ; In 1970, three Basel gallerists put their passion and determination behind an ambitious vision to form an international art fair. Now, Art Basel stages the premier international art shows, providing platforms for galleries and artists from around the world.

The US show of Art Basel Miami, which began in 2002, takes place each December and marks the winter reunion for the international art world.

Felt good for my ego to be stroked a little, “are you a model?” are you one of the artist? “awesome shirt !” can I take your picture? “can I touch your hair?” you look amazing \ THANK YOU .

Be confident in the skin you are in. At this age in my life, no one can touch my self-esteem. It is the ESTEEM of mySELF. How can you allow someone to destroy how you feel… about you?

You are Be-YOU-tiful !!!

British girl in Miami; M i S F i T.

DSC_0689DSC_0666When I took these photos and showed my mother…she immediately exclaimed how I would fit in, in England. My mother was born in raised in Birmingham, England. She knows that one day I’ll be leaving the states to continue my life in England. It’s a place I fell in love with as a child. The weather, the historic building felt like home. I often feel in Miami that I don’t belong. Contiguously asked where am I from and why I dress like that. Dress like what? I’ve never really fit in, not even with the outcast. I long for a place to belong. Where my style is embraced. Not criticized. For now, this blonde will take over South Florida then New York, and London town here I come!DSC_0661_2DSC_0653_2

I’m versatile when it comes to what I wear. I truly feel most comfortable in street styled clothing. Of course, I got stares of my shirt being half in half out but I am confident whenever I step anywhere past my mailbox. I don’t care if I’m in second-hand goods. Regardless, of the millions I plan to make in the future my love for the thrift shop won’t ever die.

BLONDE MOMENT: The earliest known thrift/”charity” shop was in 1899 selling goods that were made by blind people to raise money. It’s obviously more popular now for different reasons such as, for those who are frugal, environmentalist, or fashionistas like myself on a hunt for one of kind items.DSC_0442DSC_0449

The Blonde Historian. Who is she?

DSC_0636The Name: The Blonde Historian, just… came to me. I have my Bachelors degree from THE University of Florida in History. I took courses that were fascinating yet complex as Politics and violence in Africa since 1800, the transformation of capitalism, medieval Germany, the Holocaust, to Salem witch trials of 1692. I love to read, research and apprehend the question of who, what, when, where, why?

I’m a woman of many hats yet the career path I’ve chosen to pursue is a personal stylist. Perfecting my craft is my priority. In my humble opinion, I’m talented with having a keen eye for fashion. As Will Smith said, “Talent you have naturally. Skill is only developed by hours and hours and hours of beating on your craft.” My head has been in the books exploring the origin of fashion history. My mind goes 0-100, REAL QUICK. I’m infatuated with how fashion lives in cycles. For example, in recent months we’ve heard the catchy phrase “what’s a waist” coined by entrepreneur premadonna. The corset is back in style but the corset was originally created in the 16th century. I love how clothes continue to evolve. My hunger for fashion in me doesn’t stop. We are a fortunate generation to literally obtain information at our fingertips. Thank you Larry Page and Sergey Brin for creating GOOGLE!

All in all, my blog name speaks for itself being I am blonde and I have a strong passion for history. I’m here to share fashion history facts, style tips, motivate you and share my personal style/feelings. I want to feed your mind because knowledge is power. Our men and women need to feel encouraged about who they are on the inside, not torn down for not looking like an unrealistic ideal of beauty.

If I can have any impact, I want women to feel good about themselves and have fun with fashion- Michelle Obama.
